Thailand Visa Overstay Fine Calculator

Enter your visa expiry date to estimate how many days you have overstayed (or have left) and the likely fine. In Thailand the overstay fine is 500 THB per day, capped at 20,000 THB. This is an estimate — talk to us before it gets worse.

Estimate only. Overstay fines, caps and immigration rules can change and may depend on your individual case. This tool does not give legal or immigration advice and does not make immigration decisions. Always confirm your situation with us or with Thai Immigration.

Common questions

How much is the visa overstay fine in Thailand?
500 THB per day, capped at 20,000 THB, paid in cash when you leave or report. Amounts and rules can change — confirm your case before acting.
What happens if I overstay my visa in Phuket?
Short overstays usually mean paying the daily fine on departure. Longer overstays can lead to re-entry bans, especially if you are caught rather than reporting voluntarily.
Can I extend my visa instead of overstaying?
Often yes. Many visas can be extended at Phuket Immigration before they expire, which avoids fines entirely. Send your visa type and expiry date on WhatsApp.
Is the 90-day report the same as overstaying?
No. The 90-day report is a separate address notification. Missing it is a 2,000 THB fine but does not count as overstay or create an entry ban.
